About

The Thinking Behind the Work

Baruah Design is an architecture and interior design studio based in Dibrugarh, Assam - working across residential, commercial, hospitality, and landscape projects throughout India. The studio was founded by Aryaman Baruah, a qualified architect who believes that good design is not a luxury. It is a necessity that shapes how people feel, move, and live every single day.

We are a young studio with a clear point of view: that India deserves design that is contextual, considered, and crafted with care - not imported templates or trends that have no relationship to a place, its climate, or its people. Every project we take on, whether a home in Dibrugarh or a café in Guwahati or a residence in Bangalore - starts with the same question: What does this space truly need to be?

That question has taken us across India. And it remains the first thing we ask on every brief. Because good architecture doesn't just look beautiful in photographs - it changes the quality of your mornings, how you host, how you rest, how you think. Every project is an experiment in getting it exactly right. Not trendy. Not safe. Timeless and intentional - spaces that earn their place in your life.

A Note from Aryaman

I became an architect because I believe spaces change people. Not in dramatic ways - but quietly, constantly. The way a well-designed room makes you feel calm without knowing why. The way a thoughtful home makes a family closer. The way a good café makes strangers feel welcome. That is what I am trying to build, not just structures, but the feeling inside them.
